Signor Mussolini received the news of "sir Samuel lloare’s resignation as lie was about to take the chair at the meeting of the Fascist Grand Council. The meeting opened at 10 p.m. and adjourned at 5 a.m. to-day. A communique slated: —“The council examined the political situation in relation to the Franco-British peace proposals and adjourned until tomorrow.” It is understood that Signor Mussolini wishes to await developments in London and Paris before taking definite decisions.
