COLLISION WITH POLE

YOUNG MECHANIC HURT. ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL. Suffering from concussion, Mervyn Woolven, aged 20, a motor mechanic employed by Dominion Motors. Hamilton, was admitted to the Waikato Hospital about 11.30 this morning. Woolven was picked up on Hie Great Soutli Road near Ilunily. He was taking a car from Hamilton to Auckland and is understood to have collided with a telegraph p.ost. He was taken to Ilunily Hospital and later brought to Hamilton by a St John Ambulance. He soon recovered consciousness and his condition is not regarded as serious.
