FURTHER SEALING. MORE PERMANENT PATHS. Expenditure totalling £1250 for 'completion of permanent surfacing on various streets, from kerb to kerb, and on footways was authorised by the Hamilton Borough Council last evening, on the recommendation of the Works Committee. Following are details of the proposed works:— Sides to oomplete from kerb to kerb: Anglesea Street from Collingwood Street to Courthouse, £195; Palmerston Street, £100; Norton Road from Commerce Street to Hall Street, £100; Waterloo Street (Ellis Street"), £25; Kent Street from Commerce Street to Hall Street, £6O; High Street, 200 ft from Commerce Street, £6O; Te Aroha Street from River Road to Heapy Terrace, £25; Piako Street, £6O; Milton Street, £75 —£700. Roads, kerb to kerb: Hunter Street, £100; upper part Radnor Street, £4O —£l4o.
Footways: Bridge Street West (south side), £4O; Marama Street, one side Seddon Road to Lake Road, £76; Norton Road, east side Mill Street to Torrington Avenue, £46; Norton Road west, full width to Hall Street, £3O; Keddell Street, one side,. £4O; Von Tempsky Street, £4O; Rostrevor Street, south side, £75; Milton Street, west side, £33; Ward Street (in hand), £3O —£4lo.
