DISTURBANCE IN CHINA.

The Peking correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says Japanose military reinforcements are expected as the result of a student demonstration yesterday. The disturbance occurred during tho first meeting of the Hopei-Chahar political counoil. Yelling “ Down with the Japanese," and carrying banners hearing antiJapanese slogans, the students traversed the " city scattering leaflets reading: “Traitors hold our country. Rise and overthrow the Japanese imperialists." The students stoned the police and firemen who had been ordered to disperse them. One girl is reported to have died from a bayonet wound in the neck. It was the biggest student anti-Japanese demonstration in the history of Peking. The Japanese have warned the Chinese authorities that if they are unable to keep order, the Japanese must do so.
