A Christmas Container
SIMPLE METHOD OF PACKING. It's sometimes a problem how to pack glass, or fruit, jelly or jam held in glass, so that it may be safely mailed or expressed to a destination without breakage, states an overseas, journal. A glass jar of honey was attractively mailed last Christmas and arrived in splendid condition by being
packed in a cardboard cereal box. The type used was the tall round style that runs six to eight inches high and has a neatly fitting cardboard cover. Empty round salt cartons are the next best substitute. The Christmas cereal box mailed was decorated by simply being covered with hollypatterned paper smoothly .pasted on cover, sides and bottom. Silver or gold paper would be equally seasonable. The honey jar was slipped into the cereal box with plenty of tissue paper wadded to make it tight. The cover was fitted ou and the cereal box then placed in a large square box stuffed full of chopped newspaper to keep if from slipping about.
