AUCKLAND MARKETS. TRADE FAIRLY STEADY. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Trade in grain and produce In Auckland Is fairly steady. Potatoes. —During the week values have been fluctuating, but are now stmady at around 6s a bag, through store. Onions. —Through store, Canadian onions are worth around 16s 6d to 17s per J 001 b bag. Wheat. —There is a good demand at 5s 7d to 5s Sd a bushel, through store. 'Maize.—-A further advance of 2d a bushel has occurred in the price of maize, which is selling at 6s 5d a bushel, the highest level for many years. Oats and Chaff. —A shipment of white oals arrived from Australia and is selling at 4s IGd a bushel, through store. Thero is a slow demand for chaff. Lo'cal values arc unchanged at £8 2s 6d a ton, through store. Bran and Pollard.—Australian pollard is quoted at £7 10s in £7 Iss a lon, Ihroiich store. There Is a roslricferl demand for bran, which Is unchanged at £0 JOp a lon, through store. HIDES, SKINS AND TALLOW. Dalgety and Company, I.milled. Auckland, report as follows on the fortnightly hide, and skin sale. Hides.—There was a fair demand at slightly lower prices. Kips, yearlings and calf were In good demand and the market was firm at last sale rates. Sheepskins.—Competition was keen. Salted skins very firm ami dry skirts slightly lower.
