COMBINED EFFORT.

HEALTH RESORTS. Due chiefly to the sustained advertising by foreign countries, said Mr Henry Evans, secretary, at the annual conference of the British Federation of Hotel and Apartments Associations, on January 24, up to 1931 more than 1,000,000 British subjects went abroad every year, to the great beneiit of the places they visited. He urged the associations to advertise their health resorts and businesses in the daily newspapers. It was difficult, lie said, owing to lack of means, for small resorts to advertise continuously in the Press, hut the larger and wealthier resorts should come to the rescue by joining the less prominent resorts in Press advertising campaigns.
