'■Owing to the rad that the manager, Mr Henry Gullen, 'does not wish the team to "play competitive golf for trophies the visit of the -British golf -team to the Christchurch Christmas tournament has been cancelled. The itinerary previously arranged holds good until the team arrives in Lyttelton on Christmas morning, when, instead of going'through to Christchurch they -go straight on to Timaru where they will have unofficial golf and fishing until noon -on December 28, when they leave for Dunedin to play their match there on December 29. The New Year will be spent at The Hermitage, Mount Cook; then they go to Christchurch and play their match against Canterbury on January 4, returning to Wellington that evening and--playing the match against the New Zealand team at Heretuanga on Saturday, January 5, Monday, January 7, leaving on that ni-glrt for Auckland where they embark -on January 8. ■
