A KINDLY THOUGHT.
SCHOOL CHILDREN’S SACRIFICE. DONATION TO CAMP LEAGUE. “T have much pleasure In forwarding to you 12s 6d towards the funds of the Waikato Children's Cam-p League, 10s of this amount being given by the children of the Te Kawa West Sunday School, who agreed to forego -their prize-money this year an-d give it for the -benefit of some little -children le-s-s fortunate than themselves," says Mrs E. Goverdaie, secretary of the Te Kawa Wooten's -Institute, in a letter accompanying the contribution. In acknowledging the •children’s gift the 'chairman of the League, Mr W. H. Paul, paid a warm tribute to them fo-r the spirit which haldl prompted their sacrifice, “and said the contribution would help materially, as the League was still in urgent need of more funds to finance its annual cam-p for the -district’-s needy 'children. The good work which is being carried out by the League on behalf of the children is acknowledged by the Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, in a letter to Mr Paul. The High Ideals. "The very thigh ideals of those associated with your -camp,and the standard of organisation and -conduct insisted upon by you and your willing helpers, -cannot fail -to impress the children whose goo-d fortune it is to attend the camp,” -says Mr Young. “And this in addition to the great physical benefits conferred upon them in beautiful surroundings. I sincerely -trust that the public will again, in practical -manner, show convincingly ■that you have their whole-hearted interest in your good work.”
