DOUBLE VOTING.
IN WATERLOO POLL. MAYOR’S ALLEGATIONS. (From a Correspondent). SYDNEY, November 13. Following a meeting of the Waterloo Council a't which a deadlock was reached with regard to the election of the Mayor, Alderman Lynch, the retiring Mayor, declared that there had been a lot of questionable voting in the municipal elections. He added that the report showed that 84 votes were cast for 30 names on December J. A check of the r°" s revealed I hat in several cases, some names had been marked on seven (li - ferent rolls willv having vole(1 - llu ? margin or false votes was sufficient to alter the result of the election. It was known, lie asserted, that votes were cast for sick people who were unable to leave I licit' hods.
