MUNICIPAL GOLF.

LINKS IN HAMILTON. lIAYES 'PADDOCK SUGGESTED. ■ -- \ The proposal to establish municipal golf links in Hamilton was further considered 'by the Borough Council last evening, when a report from a special committee was submitted. The committee reported that it considered the Council should take over Hayes Paddock, in 'Hamilton East, and the adjoining Domain and 'Croxvh lands and utilise these for a golf course, and it recommended that a committee should be set up to make recommendations concerning the financing of the project.

It .was also recommended that the town cleric should obtain information from Wellington and Wanganui as to the capital costs of their municipal golf courses, and their annual receipts and. expenditure. The recommendations were adopted, and a committee consisting of the Mayor, Mr J. R. Fovv, and Messrs E. C Day, F. (Findlay, H. M. Hammond, R. McCaw, XV. L. XVaddel, and R Worley was set up to go into the ■question of finance and report to the council.
