THE CHEER CHEST
Dozens of sifts this week for the Cheer Chest. It has been such wonderful fun opening all the parcels, big and small, and they were all absolutely splendid. Unfortunately there has been a very sad accident this w’eek. When Peter was out the Wind came in, and stole his list of names of those w r ho sent gifts, and although he can remember nearly all of them just one or two will not be remembered. So if your name .is missing will you w r rlte and tell Peter so he can put it in next week, and please remember that he loved every single gift, and he ■thanks 'every single one of you who sent them. There were stamps, from Brian Wood, Ruth and Pat Buckland, Mary McDonnell, and Mary Stockley, and gifts from Jean Edgar (who sent a huge parcel), Lorna Edna and Nada Kempthorne, Winnie Bluett and her two little sisters, the jolliest parcel from Lorna and Gladys■ Clarke, Eris McLachlan, Kathleen Frost, Auntie Bep, Raby Earl and Ivan Porter and 'hls brother and sister. Such a long list, isn’t it? There was a large parcel of books, too, with no name in it. And now Peter must-go and scold the W r ind Child. Remember you have still till Wednesday.
