SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION.
KINDERGARTEN CLOSING. Miss Brenda Hunter’s Private Kindergarten 'held their annual breaklngiup ceremony yesterday morning at 58 Clarence Street. The children entertained the visitors with songs arid physical exercises. Much pleasure was given to the mothers by the children presenting them with gifts made by them during the year. One of the chief attractions was the gaily decorated Christmas tree which adorned the centre of the room from which each child received a Christmas present. Goodbye songs and God Save the King brought to a close a very happy function. , The invited guests were 'Mesdames. 11. Hall, Fisher, E. V. Riesterer, E. C. Brewis, C. A. Cherrington, R. Worley, 'F. A. Lamb, R. S. R. Seddon, Kemp, 'G. Crimp, 0. 'Svenson, P. G. Russell, W. Jordan, W. McNlcol, D. E. Finlayson (Tuhikaramea), Misses Cush la Hunter, Myrtle McLean, Nancy Wilson. Miss Hunter, wearing a smart blue and white .frock, was assisted by Miss Elspeth McNicol, who wore a green and orange plaid frock.
