SARAZEN SUCCESSFUL. ONE UP ON SHAW. The meeting of Sarazon and Shaw at St. Andrews to-day saw Sarazen win the match, 1 up, hia scoro card reading 72 to Shaw’s 73. Sarazen scored three three 3 and twelve fours. The American played brilliant golf when it was realised that ho was new to the coursp. Some of the holes were taken in masterly style, and he finished the course in five better than thp scratch score. Shaw was a|so in good form, and although his putting was weak at the opening holes it improved later. The averago distance of the toe shots going out was 276 yards, and coming in, 22S yards. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. Suffering from lacerations to tho head, tho result of a collision with a car near Cambridge, William Arthur Bray, 30, of Taurangn, a motor oycllst, was admlttod to tho Waikato Hospital this evening. His condition is satisfactory.
