NAVAL NEGOTIATIONS.
NO HOPE OF AGREEMENT. JAPAN WILL NOT COMPROMISE'. (Received Dec. 14, 2.30 p.m.) 'LONDON, Dec. 13. ' The Sun-Herald says that all hope of agreement on the main issues of the naval discussions has been virtually abandoned. It is now essential to devise a formula registering an adjournment, in stead of a collapse.
Nobody believes there the remotest chance of' Japan compromising as she is irrevocably pledged l to the denunciation of the .Washington Treaty. Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, however, is determined that the delegates shall again reassemble but nobody at present can clear the way to that end. /
