FOR ASSAULT AND DETENTION. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received-Dec. 14, 10.40 a.m.) BRISBANE, Dec. 14. As a sequel to tile Incident at Toowoomba, when Fireman J. G. Patterson ordered the Duke of Gloucester to stop smoking, another member of the fire brigade, William Buchanan, has issued a summons against the Mayor, Mr Anrand, claiming £IOO damages for alleged assault and alleged false imprisonment.
