FRANKTON STOCK SALE.
ALL SECTIONS IMPROVE
SHEEP IN DEMAND. There was a distinct Arming tendency for all classes of stock at Hie weekly stock -sale at ihe Frankton yards to-day. Ox beef was penned in small numbers and with the demand keen values 'showed an increase of over G'd per 1001 b. There were not as many cows and heifers yarded and here again with bidding 'brisker late quotations were bettered. Sheep were penned' in smaller yardings than last week with a consequent increase in quotations for wethers arid ewes. Wethers were in good demand and a total 'clearance was effected. Pigs were again yarded in large numbers the demand for line oners showing improvement. Values improved about 3s per head in this seclion hut porkers were not .so keenly sought afler. Quotations: — • Beef: 'Prime heavy fat bullocks, £9 7s -fid lo £9 15s; medium prime bullocks, £8 15s lo £9 ss; lighter prime bullocks, £8 to £8 1 0s, prime young rows and heifers, Cfi !"_ £<' 12s: niedi'im prime fat rows. £5 to £'s 15s; prime fat rows, £3, 18s to £i 17s fitl: Tighter fa I rows: £2 (is ,o £2 1 7 s fid; other tillable cows, £1 10s lo £2 2s. * Sheep: Extra prime, -shorn wethers 23s lo 25s 3d: fat shorn wellmrs. 21s to 22s fid: unllnished wethers. 19s iu 2is: extra prime -shorn ewes. Its 9d folds 3d: fa I shorn ewes. 14s lo I is fat lambs, l~s ,0 3 is. Pigs: Heavy hammers, (ills lo 725: lighter bar.oners, 50s to Ms: heavy porkers, 40s to iSs; ligbler porkers, 32s to 38s.
