The -New Zealand racehorse Limbohm was successful in the Fund Handicap, the chief event at the Victoria Racing Club’s benevolent fund meeting at Caul field yesterday. The meeting was to have been held at Moonee Valley,, but owing to the course being under water a change was made to Caulfield. Whernside, by Grand Knight from Bayloch, was second in the second division of the Two-year-old Handicap, Melisande was second in the Welter Purse and Royal Hunting was third in the High-Weight Handicap. The New Zealand-bred fitly Odyssey, by Raid from Epitaph, dead-heated for ■second with, Aerial Post in the Juvenile Slakes, which was won. .by imbiber, Who is trained by J. T. Jamieson, at the Moorefleld race yesterday. Night Jar, a three-year-old filly by Night Raid from Dresden' China, was third in the first division of the maiden Handicap, and Grand Duke, by Grand Knight from Cocoanut, was third in the second division. Prince Pom bad was unplaced in the Moorefleld Handicap and After .Money was unplaced in the Carlton Mile.
