CHRISTMAS MESSAGES.

London on 'Christmas Day will hear the toll collector on the Sydney Harbour Bridge relate how Sydney is spending its Christmas. It Is officially announced that a speech by the King will be preceded by -an Empire exchange of messages, commencing at i.5’5 p.m. and with the ringing for five minutes of Empire-wide bells. Then will follow the chimes of “Dig Ben."
The official in charge of Wellington's milk supply will commence the network of Empire messages. Australian participants will Include a South Australian wheat-farmer, a Charleville cattle-drover, a transcontinental railway fettler on the Nullarbor Plains. The King will speak at 3 p.m.
