TE AROHA TRAGEDY.
FUNERAL OF MR. WAITE. A REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDANCE. (B.v Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Full Air Force honours were accorded the late Mr. C. C. Waite, who was killed as the result of an aerial collision at Te Aroha, ( at Ivarori Cemetery, this afternoon. In addition to relatives and personal friends, the cortege included many members of the Wellington Aero Club, representatives of the Te Aroha Aero Club, the Director of Air Services, Wing-Commander T. M. Wilkes, Squadron-Leader Stedman, officer commanding No. 2 Squadron of the New Zealand Territorial Air Force, to which deceased, who held the rank of flying-officer, was attached; and Flight-Lieutenant Nisbet, representing the officer commanding the New Zealand Air Force. The services at the mortuary chapel and at the graveside were conducted by Canon Percival James.
