The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Spring Meeting opened at Addington to-day in glorious weather before a large attendance. The track was in excellent order. Times: 4.15 4- 4.17, 4.12 2-5. ~ The Trotting Cup field got away well with the exception or Sliver De Oro, who broke up badly. Harold Logan went away very rast. Sunny Morn was the early leader rrom Blue Mountain and then came Mountain Dell, Impromptu and Indianapolis, with Harold Logan moving up last. Indianapolis took the lead at Tanks, where Harold Logan moved up to third. Indianapolis led Into the straight the last time, lollowed by Mountain Dell and Harold Logan. They finished In' that order, Rol L’Or being the closest of the others. Indianapolis’ time was a race record.
