DAFFODIL SHOW.

HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. NEXT WEEK’S PROGRAMME. The Hamilton Horticultural Society will hold its opening show of the season in the Alexandra Ilall, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr A. Gibson, of Marlon, will judge the daffodils, Mr F. W. Sanders the cut flowers, and Mrs Skipwirth the decorative classes. Cond'tions have been particularly favourable for daffodils during the growing season, and some fine exhibits should be staged. The schedule makes ample provision for anemones, rancunculi, polyanthus, hyacinths, pansies and other seasonal flowers, and has been reviewed with a view to making the decorative section more attractive. One of the features of the show will be the Girl Guide Competition, while additional classes have been provided for children's individual exhibits.
