the proposed restriction. WELLINGTON, Monday. In order to inform the New Zealand public of the trend of the recent discussions regarding the meat export restrictions, the Government has requested the British Government to permit the release of a summary of Hie negotiations, compiled from the cablegrams exchanged between the two Governments. The Minister of Finance, Mr Coates, said to-night that no reply to the request had yet been received. He added that only two points were now involved in the negotiations, which had not yet reached finality.
