FINE OF £2OO IMPOSED. PREVIOUSLY FINED £IOO. PROSECUTION AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. A fine of £2OO was imposed on Douglas Hipkins (40) by the Magistrate, Mr. Hunt, on a charge of bookmaking. The police said defendant was employed by the biggest bookmaker in Auckland. He bad been fined £IOO earlier in the year. Counsel said his client was paid £6 a week.
