LARGEST EVER HELD. NEW ZEALAND MANUFACTURERS. ABSORBING THE UNEMPLOYED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Probably <the largest and most representative gathering of manufacturers ever held will take place in Wellington next week, when a special Dominion manufacturers’ conference will meet to consider means whereby the manufacturing industries can assist in absorbing the unemployed. The conference has also been convened to discuss schemes for the stronger and more efficient organisation of the manufacturers throughout the Dominion. The Prime Minister has consented to open the proceedings next Tuesday.
