91.23 PER CENT. FIGURES FOR NORTH ISLAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. An estimate of the current season's lambing for the North Island is 8,502,050, giving 91.23. per cent., the number of breeding ewes being 9,318,943. The district figures are: Gisborne and Haw’ke’s Bay, 3,943,719 ew’es and 3,498,173 lambs; Wellington. 3,591,773 ewes and 3,421,762 lambs; Auckland, 1,783,450 ewes and 1,582,115 lambs. The estimates of lambs tailed since 1928 show’ a percentage increase from 84.161 to 91.23.
