AUCKLAND, Saturday,

Although the steamer Marama, which is hound for Sydney, left t'he wharf shortly after three o’clock yesterday afternoon, she did not leave the harbour till eight o’clock this morning. She 'had anchored at the entrance to the Rangitoto Channel for over 16 hours, waiting for the dense fog to lift. Her exact location was not known for some hours, until a passenger who had missed her took a launch, which found the ship with some difficulty at ten o’clock. The fog continued dense till after seven to-day, when it Jjcgan to disperse, but indications arm that it will envelope the city and harbour again to-night.
