OLYMPIC GAMES.
VENUE FOR 1936. BERLIN OR NOT. The confirmation of the choice of Berlin for the 1936 Olympic Games is In the balance. The exclusion of Jews from German sporting federations has alarmed sportsmen in other countries.
As a first consequence, the leading football, Rugby and Athletic Club of Paris, the Racing Club de France, has cancelled several matches with South German clubs.
In order to get confirmation of the rumour of a change of venue, the “Temps” cabled to the American Olympic secretary, Mr J. R. Rublen, and received the following reply: “Tho American Olympic Committee proclaims the principle that the Olympic Games must be open to all amateur athletes, without difference of race, religion, and colour, as is specified In Olympic Magna Charta."
