CARD AFTERNOON.

AT WHATAWHATA. A most enjoyable card afternoon was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. Rowe -on Wednesday 28, in aid -of St. Barnabas Church. Euchre prizes were won by- Mrs. A. Livingstone and Mrs. N. J. Lee. Afternoon tea was served in the dining-room. Rev. Boyt in a few well chosen words thanked the ladies present for helping to make the afternoon such a success, and passed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Rowe.

Among those present were:-Mrs. Calder, senr., Mrs. Snell, Mrs. R. Calder, Mrs. McCutcheon, Mrs. Sperry, Mrs. H. Johnstone, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Kirby, Mrs. L. Johnstone, Mrs. H. J. Lee, Mrs. Barton, Mrs. S. Ruseell, Mrs A. Livingstone, Miss Joyce Johnstone and Miss Joyce Graham.
