BOROUGH OF HAMILTON.

JJAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCILRATES FOR YEAR 1933-34. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council under the powers conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Rating Act, 1925, Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and their Amendments and all other powers enabling in that behalf, at a Special Meeting to be held at 7.30 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, the 19th day of July, 1933, to make and levy for the year commencing the i«t of April, 1933, and ending the 31st day of March, 1934, the following rates: Over the HAMILTON area of the Borough a CONSOLIDATED RATE of five pence (sd) in the £ in lieu of a GENERAL RATE of 'one penny and nine sixteenths of a penny (1 9/16d) in the £ upon the unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Roll of the Borough of Hamilton, and a SPECIAL RATE of three pence and seven sixteenths of a penny (3 7/16d) in the £ to cover interest and sinking fund on 1886 Lean of £3OOO Drainage No. 1 loan of £1240 17s lid; Bridge, Streets, Town Hall and Drainage (being part of a Loan of £42,472) Loan of £30,472; Drainage No. 3 Loan of £2500; Streets, Lands, Improvement, Surface-water Drainage, Street Lighting and No. 1 Bridge Loan of £45,800; Baths, Town Hall and Domain Board (being part of a loan of £3;950) Loan of £3,600; Bridge Loan of £1,700; Streets 10 per cent. Loan of £4,000; Saleyards Loan of £2,000; Town Hall Loan of £2,200; Drainage Loan of £11,000; Offl'ce Additions (being part of Gasworks Loan of £5,500) Loan of £700; Stormwater Drainage Loan of £22,000; Stormwater Drainage 10 per cent. Loan of £2,200; Various (12) Works Loan of £20,000; Whatawhata Bridge Renewal Loan of £900; Library 10 per cent. Loan of £2,680; Waltewhiriwhiri Stream £16,000 Loan; Relief Loans of £I,OOO, £7OO, £931, £IOOO, £2OOO, and £3000; Sewer Loan of £6000; Relief Loan of £8500; Relief Loan of £850; Drainage and Library Renewal Loan of £51,500; Streets and Library Renewal Loan of £9000; Bridge Loan of £8000; Sewerage Drainage Relief Loan £7,300 upon the unimproved value of all rateable property as appearing in the current year’s Valuation Roll of that portion of the Borough of Hamilton which constituted the Borough of Hamilton on the 30th. day of September, 1912. Over the CLAUDELANDS area of the Borough a CONSOLIDATED RATE of four pence and twenty-nine thirtyseconds of a penny (4 29/32d) in the £ in lieu of the General Rate above described and a SPECIAL RATE of three and eleven-thlrty-seoonds of a penny (3 11/32d) in the £ to cover interest and sinking fund on Loans of £BSO 4s 2d, £5,128 13s Id and £6113 13s lid raised by other authorities. Over the FRANKTON area of the Borough a CONSOLIDATED RATE of sixpence and one-thirty-seconds of a penny (6 l/32d) in the £ In lieu of the General rate above described and a SPECIAL RATE of four pence and fifteen thirty seconds of a penny (4 15/32d) in the £ to cover Interest and sinking fund on Special Loans ex Waipa County Council; Sanitary Loan of £lsl 16s 2d; Bridge Loan of £1,000; Streets Improvement Loan of £1,200; ROads and Streets Loans of £2,000, - £2,000, and £1,000; Stormwater Dralnago Loan of £30,000; Stormwater Drainage 10 per cent.
