The entry of Bobby Pearce In the Dominion Day regatta here lias been refused pending an investigation by (he Canadian Association of Amateur oarsmen, concerning his amateur status, which has been questioned unofficially, since reports have been circulated' that lie had agreed to meet ’fed Philps in a race at the Canadian National Exhibition here in September. Pearce lias denied that he agreed to race professionally.
