TROTTING.

WAIKATO MEETING.

TO-MORROW’S FIXTURE.

FINE PROGRAMME ASSURED. The 1932-33 trotting season in the North Island will be brought to a olose on Saturday with the extra meeting of the Waikato Trotting Club at Claudelands. Gratifying fields have come forward for the various events and throughout the class is good and even. The track is in excellent order for.this time of the year and with .fine w’eather an interesting programme is assured. A running commentry on the racing will be described through special amplifiers. Following are the fields engaged with a review of the prospects by “ Padlock”: —

The Introductory race on the programme has attracted some fine material, included among which are. a lumber of (untried pacers.. Epsom form points prominently to the pros-pects-of Our Summer, who will need only to go the way he did at Auckland to beat everything in front ot him. Tryment, on her forward Cambridge running, will be a foroe to be reckoned with, while Worthy Light, who showed speed at the Auckland gathering last week, must enter calculations. He should be improved bj the outing. Jester raced well at Epsom and of the others Bonnie Direct, •Bingen Chief and Worthy Chief may appeal most. Recent form points to the prospects of OUR SUMMER JESTER BONNIE DIRECT 12.46 newstead handicap. or £110; limit 3.48; li miles.

The mile and a-half trot has drawn & useful field and Epsom form should provide a good line on the prospects of the majority. Autumn Lu, Pearl Parrish and Nelson Pirate should again race prominently, with Autumn Lu the most likely to hold the others safe. Rose Marble is an improving young trotter, who showed speed in patches in her reoent Epsom outing and may be sufficiently Improved by the experience to provide more solid opposition on Saturday. Whlriwhata and Mattie Herbllwyn would need to improve on recent form to enter calculations. When final selections are made those to command the attention of investors may be AUTUMN LU NELSON PIRATE PEARL PARRISH

The olass throughout Is good and the Issue appears decidedly open. Realty should not be troubled over the distance, although, a shorter journey is more to his liking. However, he has been finishing on well In recent essays and has provided every indication that he will be suited by to-morrow’s distance. The Raider—Guid Hairst bracket off the limit mark should give a solid account of themselves and be among the front rankers at the finish. Lady Coronado has been racing well of late and appears to have excellent prospects, while Kelp, the back-mar-ker, Is a stayer, who should be finishing on once the serious business of the race begins. The public may place most reliance on the prospects of REALTY KELP RAIDER—GUID HAIRST bracket,

t.IB RUAKURA HANDICAP. or £BS; limit 4.57; 2 miles. jester .... Lt. yds. bhd. Tryment ... Lt. Donee ... 2-1 TUora Thorpe Lt. Teter Grattan 2-i Worthy Chief I.t. May Chenault 33 yds bhd Cimarron . . 00 Alexis . 2i

Cimarron's recent deeds must entitle him to primary consideration and he will need only to leave the mark correctly to safely gather in the field. May Chenault is a speedy customer, but

somewhat erratic. She will need to pace honestly throughout to be in the picture at the end. Tryment, Jester and Worthy Chief all claim prior engagements and if started here their earlier form should provide a line on their prospects over the longer distance. Of the remainder the ex-Ham-ilton-owned Donee appears most likely to upset calculations. Favouritism maj be divided between CIMARRON MAY CHENAULT DONEE 3.0 TE KOWHAI HANDICAP. Of £100; limit 3.33; li miles.

Edna Worthy, Daddy Longlegs and Wee Machine showed up well in this class at Epsom last week and track conditions should suit this well-per-formed trio to-morrow. The consistent Guid Hairst is on a handy mark and his pace should enable him to gain a good position early. Eleawah raced well at Cambridge but has failed to

produce the same form since that outing. Fancies will no doubt take a wide range and a good betting race should see among the favoured division EDNA WORTHY ELEAWAH GUID HAIRST 3.45 KAIPAK! HANDICAP. or £110; limit 2.61; li miles.

The fast mile and a-quarter has drawn some speedy pacers. Poi is a promising sort who should pace solidly off the limit and Lady Coronado, Silver Bingen and Homeward, all winners last week, should again show out to advantage. Guid Hairst, Pukemiro and Raider will not be without liberal support. Homeward finishes on solidly and on Auckland running will probably be the hardest to account for. The Hamilton representative, Free Logan, cannot be omitted from calculations. There should be liberal support forthcoming for SILVER BINGEN HOMEWARD—LADY CORONADO bracket RAIDER—GUID HAIRST—POI bracket 4.30 EUREKA HANDICAP. Of £BS; limit 3.0; li miles.

The majority engaged claim previous engagements and their form earlier m the day will no doubt provide a fine on their prospects here. Cimarron again appears to stand out and his consistency will claim him a strong following. The speedy back-marker, Edna Worthy, should give a forward account of her capabilities but it is problematical whether she can concede Cimarron a start and beat him. Donee and Lislea, who are coupled on the machine, and Lady Amanda, are possibilities. The issue should provide a spirited oonteSt with the favourite division Including CIMARRON • DONEE —LISLEA bracket LADY AMANDA
