AUardyce, secretary of the Douglas Social Credit Association addressed for over two hours last night a largely-attended meeting in the Theatre Royal. The address was on Hie same lines as those at other centres, a full explanation being given of the objects of the association. The following resolution, proposed and seconded by Mr 11. 11. Wood and Mr 11. L. Thornton respectively, was carried unanimously :—“ That Utis meeting of .residents of Te Aroha views with grave, concern the increasing hardship am! distress apparent throughout New Zealand, and urges Hie Government and Parliament of New Zealand nut to proceed with Hie Central Reserve Bank Bill as at presen! 1 1 rafted, Imt to institute an immediate amt open inquiry into the existing monetary system and to examine proposed alternatives thereto."
