ONE-DAY TOURNAMENT. RAIN CAUSES ABANDONMENT. Although {Tie weather ay as fine when the Frankton Railway Bowling Chub’s one day full rink tournament was commenced Yesterday, rain fell after two rounds had been completed. A further start was made after an interval of over Iwo hours, hut. wet weather set in again before the third game had progressed far, and the tournament %vas abandoned. Teams from the Whitiora, l 1 ’anKiOii, ■Hamilton, Ngarnawahla, Railway, Claudelands, Te Awamutn, Te Aroha, Hamilton East and Leamington Clubs were engaged. Five games of fourteen heads were to have been played, hut when the rain came during the third game only three heads had been completed by some of tho players. The Railway Club was indeed mifo"tunale so far as the weather was concerned. Following Avere the concluding results: — Third Round. Raeburn 111 v. Howie, 3; Coat 17 v. Mara, 1; Home it v. Complies, i; Marlin il v. Curry, 0: Rurchell 3 y. Baker, 0; Crowley 13 v. Morrison, 7; .Mclvor 11 v. Clevely, 8.
