SUCCESSFUL TEST FLIGHT. NO FAULT FOUND IN MACHINE. (Speolal to Times.) PALMERSTON N., Thursday. The Southern Cross, with repairs and overhaul completed, made a test flight from the Milson Aerodrome shortly before noon, with Sir Charles Kingsford Smith at the controls, accompanied by his brother, Mr Wilfrid Smith, and the mechanics. The machine rose well, and passed over the city, being put through evolutions to test the strength of the repaired wing. Subsequently Sir Charles stated that not the slightest fault could be found.
