VALEDICTORY.

FAREWELL AT TAIHOA. A number of friends met at the residence of Mr and Mrs H. Wright, Taihoa, to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs T. Maxwell, of Taihoa, who are leaving for a visit to England. A very ploasant time was spent in music, games and dancing. Mr West, in a neat speech, spoke of the forthcoming trip of Mr and Mrs Maxwell, and hoped that Mr Maxwell, who is taking the trip for health reasons, would come back much improved in health. lie wished them God speed and a safe return. Mr Maxwell suitably responded. The singing of “ Auld Lang Sync ” brought a pleasant evening to a close.
