ONE-DAY TOURNAMENT.
RAILWAY CLUB’S EVENT. WET WEATHER AIARS PLAY. Drizzling rain, which set in shortly after mid-day, interrupted play in the Frankton Railway Bowling Club’s oneday tournament which was t commenced on the club’s green this morning. Sixteen teams from the Leamington, Hamilton East, Te Aroha, Te Awamutu, Claudelands, Railway, Ngaruawahia, Frankton, Hamilton, and Whitiora clubs were engaged and two of the five rounds in which the competition was being played were decided when the rain commenced, and caused a cessation of play. After an interval of over two hours play was recommenced soon after 3 o’clock. Following are the results:— First Round, Whitiora: Ingpen, Davis, Taylor, Chainey (s) 19s v. Hamilton: Grigg, Hyde, H.
