Monday 87.00 6^.00 Tuesday . 8-1-0 The barometer reads 29.(0 with a falling tendency. Indications are for generally fair weather to-day with liigh temperature, winds from a northerly direction. Conditions are likely to become unsettled after 2 a hours. Mean temperature, 77.5 degrees. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. SPECIAL. FORECAST. (By Govt. Meteorologist.) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area is as follows :—• General Inference. A fairly deep cyclone is new moving on to New Zealand, its centre being near the southern extremity. Pressure should commence to rise shortly in the south. Forecast. Moderate to strong northerly winds, backing to-morrow to westerlies. Weather cloudy to overcast with some rain and possibly thunder. Temperatures cooler to-morrow. Seas moderate. THE RAINFALL. (Recorded at Ruakura Farm.) Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9.30 this morning, .Oin. Rainfall for previous 24 hours .Oin. Total for February, 4.49 in. Rainfall for year to date, 7.12 in. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for moderate to strong northerly winds after about 24 hours, and backing by north to west. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unset lied. Rain probable. Indications are for electrical disturbances. Barometer falling slowly.
