THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. VERY GOOD TURNOVER,. (By Telegraph.—Special in Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. There has been a very good turnover on the Stock Exchange over the past 24 hours, and although some, lines have eased others have tinned up. Sales of Bank of New Zealand at £2 r>s 7d, Auckland Gas at £1 Is Gd, Henry Jones at £L 14s, Union Banks at £7 15s, Blackwatcr Mines at 2ts Gd and 21s 3cl, and Government 4 4 per rent, stocks, ex. interest, at £'JG 7s Gd, all represent higher values. On the other hand, transactions In Colonial Sugar at £45, New Zealand Breweries at £1 Gs 3d, and AVaihis at tSs 3d, represent concessions on the part of vendors. At this morning’s call bidding was again dull in the banking section, but New Zealands were steady with buyers at £2 5s Gd. Buyers for South British stopped at £2 15s Gd. Holders still asked £2 17s.
