NATIONAL BROADCASTS. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel._ Copyright. (Received May 10, 11.15 a.m.) OTTAWA, May 9. Canada will have a nationally-owned radio broadcasting system if the unanimous report of the Radio Committee, tabled in the House of Representatives on Monday, is implemented. The report recommends the establishment' of a paid Federal' Commission -of three members To direct the operations of the new system and the gradual acquisition or erection of such stations as are necessary for the complete coverage of all Canada.. , Advertising will be limited to not more than 5 per cent, of each programme period.
