AMATEUR WRESTLING
NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. WELLINGTON, 'Wednesday. Amateur wrestlers from various parts of New Zealand, including Auckland and Otago, took part, in the
New Zealand amateur championship tournament organised under the auspices of the Dominion of New Zealand Wrestling Union. There was a good deal of excellent wrestling under the strictest amateur rules. The results were:— Heavy-weight. Semi-final: M. Blomfleld (Auckland), 14.2, beat G. Harris (Stratford), 13.1; D. Scarrow (Raetihi), 14.2, beat •J. Anderson (Palmerston North), 12.7. Final: Blomfleld won on points from Scarrow in a strenuous but rather dull bout. Light-heavy-weight.—First round: 11., R.
