STRIKE IN PERTH. PAY REDUCTIONS RESENTED. Unhed Press Assn.—Elcc. TeL Copyright. PERTH, August 13. A strike by newspaper employees to-day prevented tlie production of Hie city's afternoon newspaper, the Perth Daily News. The morning newspaper, the Western Australian, is unlikely to appear to-morrow. The dispute involves the proprietors of both journals and their mechanical staffs. It arises out of reductions in pay following on tlie heavy drop in advertising and the high cost of newsprint owing to the adverse exchange.
