LITTLE DEMAND FOR SHARES. (Dy Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. At this morning's call in the banking section New Zealands were on offer at £2 8s 9d, but there were no buyers. New Zealand Insurances changed hands at £1 18s, the lowest figure accepted for a considerable period. After the sale the scrip was offered at £1 18s 6d, but best buyers offered £1 17s Gd. Farmers’ Auctioneering shares received some attention, and the issue was offered at £3. For prefs., Ils was bid for “A” and 12s for “B.” A buyer came in for Northern Steam at 6s Gd. Motorua Oils were still in request at ss. In Government stocks 4J per cents, were offered at par. £99 10s was bid tor both issues of 5J per cents. SALES REPORTED. (By Telegraph. Press Association.)
