SENTENCED FOR BIGAMY.
MAN OF MANY WIVES. Georg© Wiliam James Clarke, aged 35, a motor engineer, at Kingston-on-Thames Assizes, was sentenced to three years’ penal servitude for bigamy at Guildford. It was stated that while serving in France Clarke married a Frenchwoman, who died three days later. He married agian in 1922, and afterwards went through a form of marriage with another woman. In 1927 he went to France and "married’’ the sister of his first wife. In the present ease Clarke left his wife and family at Guildford to “marry" another woman. He had been twice convicted of bigamy.
