TIRAU STOCK SALE. The farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: A good yarding of all classes came forward to Tirau stock sale on Thursday, includimr thn advertised line of 202 yearling Jersey heifers on account of Mr Arthur Totman. which sold under competition from £2 2s to £3 15s. and averaged £2 16s. Beef was in good demand, and sheep anti pigs sold at late rates. Dairy cattle of quality found a ready sale, but inferior sorts were hard to dispose of. Quotations: — Pigs — Weaners. 12s 6d to 17s; stores. 26s to 325; sows in pig, £3 to £3 15s. Sheep.—Fat hoggets. 14s to 15s; store hoggets. 9s Id to 9s 6d. Dairy Cattle.—Good quality Jersey heifers £6 10s to £B. more backward £i 5s to £5 ss; Jersey-cross heifers, £4 5s to £6 ss. Store Cattle.—Medium fat heifers. £6 to £6 16s; light fat cows. £3 17s to £i 18s; killable forward conditioned cows, £2 8s to £3 3s; store COw s, 24s to 31s; boners. 10s t > 16s; choice yearling Jersey heifers, £3 to £3 15s, smaller to £2 10s. MATAMATA SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd.. I report having held their stock sale at ! Matamata on Wednesday, when a full yarding of pigs and a usual yarding of fat and store cattle came forward and sold at fully up to late rates. Bidding was brisk for really good Jersey springing heifers. Following are the prices; Good fat Jerseys £5 to £6 ss, lighter sorts £3 10s lo’ £4 10s; boner cows. 15s to 30s; good springing Jersey heifers, £8 to £9 10s, others £6 to ! £7 Jos. lighter sorts £4 to £5; good Shorthorn springing heifers. £6 to £7; calved heifers. £4 10s to £6 10s; ewes in lamb. 8s; large store pigs, £1 10s to £1 18s; slips. £1 3s to £1 7s; best weaners. 19s to 21s. others 12s Gd to 455; sows in pig, £2 10s.
