Remarking on the growing custom of persons expecting summonses not to collect their registered mail. Mr C. H. Orr Walker. S.M.. at the Timaru Magistrate s Court, related an occurrence of this nature that had not turned out as the persons concernei intended. This man. said Mr orr Walker. di<l not call for a registered letter. He discovered too late that it contained an intimation from the man's mortgagee to the effect that lie was going to exercise Ills right under the mortgage to sell up the mortgor's property.
