BUTTERFLY FAIR.
FRANKTON PRESBYTERIANS. CONCERT THIS EVENING. With the object ,of augmenting church finances the organisations attached to First Church, Frankton, combined in arranging a Butterfly Fair, which was opened in Liberty Hall tills afternoon. Hundreds of gaily-coloured paper butterflies were used to decorate the hull and the stalls mid siilsshows, and the result was very pleasing. Everything imaginable was displayed on the stalls, and a good attendance of members and others interested in the activities of the church did business at one or other of tlie miniature shops. The fair was officially opened by Mr J. A. Young, M.P., who congratulat'd the stall-holders and their assistants and expressed the hope tiiat the function would be attended by great success. The fair will be continued to-night, when a concert will be held. The stalls were supervised by the foilowing bodies of tlie church: Tearooms, Mesdames Dempster, Choat, and Leatch; plain sewing stall. .Mesdames Forrester and Barrowman; cake stall. Mrs de Montalk for tlvi ladies guild; sweets stall, Bible Class, fancy goods, the choir, vegetable and men's stall, the men of the church; amusement area, the boys of the church. The novelty stall was in sole charge of Mesdames Wells and Ewa't. while Mrs Martin had control of the children's corner.
