PROTEST AGAINST ECONOMY. COMMITTEE OF INVESTIGATION. <By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. A protest against any attempt to economise in educational expenditure, especially on secondary schools, was made by teachers’ representatives to the Premier to-day. Mr Forbes replied that he had no wish to impair the present system, but owing to tlie financial position 't was necessary lo get full value for the money. He intended to set up a committee to investigate the cost of education. Everyone would be able to submit their views then.
