HOSPITAL ECONOMIES. Substantial economies have been effected at the Waikato Hospital sine" the board established its own bakery and butchery. The cost of meat to Hie board during the past twelve months has been only 3.19 d per lb. The total' weight of meat bought was 31.0531 b of which 23.9031 b was consumed, the nett cost to Hie hospital being £371 15s sd. Tlu- average number of persons fed daily at the Institution was During Hie same period 230761 b of bread were baked, the nett cost to Hie board being £219 10s which worked out at 2.3 id per lb.,
