COMPENSATION CLAIMS.
SEQUEL TO FATALITIES. WIDOW AWARDED £l2OO. AUCKLAND. Wednesday. The hearing of a claim for £3SOC. brought by Mary Agnes Strack,/ widow, of Kaitala, against Richard Wallace, farmer, of Maungatapere, was concluded in tlie Supreme Court yesterday. The claim was for general damages in respect of tlie death of plaintiff's husband in a collision between two motor-cycles. The jury returned a verdict in favour of plaintiff for £l2OO damages. WIDOW CLAIMS £2OOO. A DOCTOR SUED. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The hearing of a claim for £2OOO damages, arising out of a fatal motor accident last October, was continued In the Supreme Court. The claim was brought by Mabel Prince against Dr. W. J. MacDonald consequent upon the death of her husband as the result of a collision with defendant’s car.
The case was concluded, except for His Honour's summing up, which wag postponed until to-morrow.
